Biography:
Tereza Glazova (b. 1996 in Riga, Latvia; lives and works in Zurich) presents a single video work, Olivia and Nicole (2024/25), part of her ongoing project Feelings deluxe, a series of video portraits conceived as an “anthological musical” that merges the structure of anthology films with the expressive codes of musicals. Featuring her friends, each sequence turns everyday moments—trauma-dumping at dinner, euphoric dancing, farewells on train platforms, or reenacted internet challenges—into intimate, stylized POV vignettes that reveal how contemporary bodies navigate self-awareness, seduction, and physical limits. While drawing on cinéma-vérité, Glazova highlights that authenticity itself is a performance, exposing the artifice through subtle digital distortions that disrupt any illusion of unmediated truth. By slowing down and manipulating the visual language shaped by algorithm-driven online culture, the work questions the hyper-performance of self-exposure and reclaims digital gestures as personal markers of belonging.
